Using Bluetooth Devices
How do I use Bluetooth?
For Bluetooth devices to work they must be synced together through a process called pairing. Some devices come already paired together, like the adapter that comes with the Voyager 510S Bluetooth office system and the Bluetooth adapter with the .Audio 920. These devices can simply be plugged in to use.
To pair Bluetooth devices to your cell phone you must first turn on the Bluetooth feature on your cell phone. Then you must put your device in pairing mode. For headsets this generally consists of holding in the "ON" button for a few seconds until you see a flashing blue and red light. However, every device is different and therefore we recommend that you check the user guide of your Bluetooth device to learn how to put it into pairing mode.
Once you are paired up, you simply turn your device on and use it.
Bluetooth Profiles
Most Bluetooth enabled cell phones support the Hands Free Profile (HFP) and the Headset Profile (HSP). All headsets and speaker phones work on one or both of those two profiles.
Some cell phones support the A2DP Bluetooth profile, also known as the stereo profile. This is the profile that will allow you to listen to music in stereo with a stereo Bluetooth headset that runs on the A2DP profile.
To see what profiles your cell phone supports, check under your Bluetooth settings on your cell phone.
